What you will do
The valley’s traditional route with an extra hour of sleep: you leave at 7:20 am, stop fifteen minutes at the Taray viewpoint and then take Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero with an hour or more at each.
It is the route travelers choose when they have just landed in Cusco: the whole day runs lower than the city (Cusco sits at 3,350 m) and the only climb, Chinchero, comes at the end, once you have spent six hours in the valley. Maras and Moray are not on this route; to see them the same day there is the Sacred Valley Express, which leaves at 6:20 am and costs US$2 more.
- The Taray viewpoint at 8:20 am: the first photo of the valley with the Urubamba river below
- Pisac: an hour on the terraces and at the Intihuatana, plus half an hour free at the town market
- A 50-minute buffet lunch in Urubamba, included in the US$30
- Ollantaytambo at 2:15 pm and Chinchero at 4:45 pm, with the weavers before heading back

The same price even if you book tonight: there is no last-minute surcharge.
Ending in Ollantaytambo at 3:30 pm (no return to Cusco and no Chinchero), US$1 less on every option: Classic ending in Ollantaytambo.

Yes. Online until 8 pm (Cusco time, GMT−5) every day, Sundays included; at our office on Av. Tullumayo 111-B until 7:30 pm, Monday to Saturday. Before paying, check the space on WhatsApp. The price is the same, US$30, with no surcharge. There are no same-day departures.
From 7:20 am at your hotel, Airbnb or a meeting point in the historic center of Cusco. The exact time comes on WhatsApp the night before, including when you book for tomorrow; it can shift a few minutes depending on your area.
No. Under 24 hours, or if you do not show up, there is no refund. You can move the date if there is space, and if we are the ones cancelling because of weather or force majeure, we rebook you or refund the full amount. Booking further ahead: 30% under 48 hours, 50% under 72 hours and 70% with 30 days or more. Refunds go through WeTravel to the original payment method.
Only the Tourist Ticket, which covers Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. It is not included in the US$30 and is paid in soles on the day of the tour. The amount is set by the ticket administration and changes without notice; we confirm the current figure on WhatsApp when you book. This route does not visit Maras, so there is no community entrance.
Because it is the traditional route: Taray viewpoint, Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero, with an hour or more at each site and a 7:20 am departure. The Maras salt mines and the Moray terraces are visited on the Sacred Valley Express, which leaves at 6:20 am, returns at 7 pm, covers 5 sites and costs US$32.
Yes, with the version that ends at 3:30 pm inside the Ollantaytambo archaeological park; from there the station is a 15-minute walk. It costs US$29 because the return to Cusco is not included and it does not visit Chinchero. Flip the “Ending in Ollantaytambo” switch in the booking form.
The Classic is the tour most people book for their first day. Cusco sits at 3,350 m and almost the whole route runs lower: Pisac town 2,972, Urubamba 2,871 and Ollantaytambo 2,790. Only Chinchero, at 3,762 m, is higher, and it comes late in the afternoon. Walk slowly, drink water and skip the alcohol on your first night.
Taray viewpoint 15 min, Pisac 1 h plus 30 min in the town, lunch 50 min, Ollantaytambo 1 h and Chinchero 1 h: 4 h 45 of visiting and 5 h 55 on the road across a 10–11 hour day. Fewer stops than the Express and more time at each.
Yes: the Tourist Ticket is issued and checked against the original document. Bring the physical passport; a photo on your phone is not accepted at the checkpoint.
Ask us on WhatsApp with the ages or the student card before paying: we confirm which tour rate applies and whether a reduced Tourist Ticket applies, which has rules of its own.
We leave anyway: in the valley the rain comes in the afternoon and passes, and the sites stay open. Only if an authority closes a site or a road does force majeure apply, and then you rebook or we refund the full amount.
At our office on Av. Tullumayo 111-B yes, Monday to Saturday until 7:30 pm, in soles or dollars. Online the charge is in US dollars through WeTravel, by card. The entrance tickets are always paid in soles on the day of the tour.
